Former 4-star recruit Michael Drennen has a new position on the Kentucky offense. After starting his career as a wide receiver, Drennen is now a running back for the Wildcats.

It’s fitting that Drennen was considered an all-purpose back, a classification for backs who also excel as pass-catchers, as a recruit.
As a freshman, Drennan had 3 catches for 26 yards.
Kentucky looks to be deep at running back entering the 2021 season, so it will be interesting to see if the position change leads to more touches in Year 2 with Mark Stoops’ program.
