A key part of Texas A&M‘s defense could be missing when the No. 6 Aggies host Mississippi State on Saturday night.

Linebacker Scooby Williams was listed as questionable for the 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on SEC Network, when Texas A&M will try to get to 5-0. But the Aggies might have to do it without Williams, according to the Friday night SEC availability report.

Williams is questionable for the second straight week, after he missed last Saturday’s 16-10 victory over Auburn. He sustained an undisclosed injury late in the first half of the Aggies’ 41-40 victory at Notre Dame back in Week 3.

Safety Bryce Anderson and offensive lineman Blake Ivy were also listed as questionable on the Friday night availability report.

Meanwhile, Mississippi State (4-1) will be shorthanded along its offensive line for the primetime matchup, a week after suffering its first loss of the season in an overtime heartbreaker at home against Tennessee. The Bulldogs will be missing Blake Steen and Albert Reese IV along their offensive line, and defensive lineman Will Whitson is also listed as out on the Friday night availability report.

Safety Isaac Smith was listed as doubtful for Mississippi State.

Texas A&M has won its past 2 meetings against the Bulldogs, after winning 34-24 last year in Starkville. On Saturday night, the scene will shift to College Station.
