HOOVER, Ala. — The morning buzz for Day Three of the 2017 edition of SEC Media Days was unlike any other thanks the presence of reigning Southeastern Conference champions Alabama. When Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban entered the Hyatt Regency Birmingham by 8 a.m. sharp, it was as if a rock star had entered the room.
On second thought, Saban might be even bigger than a rock star to the residents of the Yellowhammer State.
We were on site as Saban and the Alabama contingent made their entrance, and needless to say, the Crimson Tide fans welcomed their fearless leader like the ancient Romans must have hailed the return of a conquering Caesar.
