Georgia has been without several key players for a few weeks in RB Kendall Milton, DL Jordan Davis and S Richard LeCounte. At his Monday press conference, coach Kirby Smart updated their status ahead of the Missouri game this week.
Smart said he is hopeful on all three players. Milton suffered a knee injury against Florida, while Davis is dealing with an elbow injury and LeCounte recovering from a motorcycle wreck.
“All three are going to be able to go out and do some things in practice,” Smart said. “Kendall’s probably going to be in a black shirt, Richard’s probably going to be in a black shirt, non-contact, but they’re both going to be able to do some things. They progressed last week, got some good GPS numbers. Have been healthy and moving around.”
Smart said it’s unrealistic for Davis to be non-contact because of his position, but he’s going to be able to do more than in previous weeks.
“We’re hopeful that all three guys are able to play, but we’ll know a lot more after today,” Smart said.
The game is set for noon ET on Saturday at Missouri on the SEC Network. Georgia has won six straight games in the series.
