Death by Twitter.
Radio personality, analyst and former FSU QB Danny Kanell was upset by the selection committee’s decision to put Alabama in the College Football Playoff over Big Ten Champion Ohio State, and he went on a long Twitter rant about it on Sunday.
One of Kanell’s tweets caught the eye of ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit. Kanell tweeted that the selection committee’s Playoff decisions were “Made For TV Ratings” while putting in the Tide over the Buckeyes.
So your 2017 Made For TV Ratings Invitational will be:
1. Clemson vs 4. Bama
2. Oklahoma vs 3. Georgia

No doubt the ratings will be gold with four powerhouses in the Playoff, but Ohio State would be ratings gold, too, you know.
Herbstreit gets Kanell has marketed himself as an anti-SEC analyst, but Herbstreit clearly doesn’t understand how Kanell doesn’t see Ohio State in the Playoff would also be a “ratings bonanza.”
Dude..what has happened to you?? Seriously. You’re a good guy—and I get the whole “anti SEC guy” you’ve created, but you think ESPN wouldn’t LOVE to have Ohio St in this??? They’re a RATINGS BONANZA!! Cmon dude!! You’re better than that!!! https://t.co/646E9Xbwq6

Kanell just has to have something SEC related to complain about.
