Thanks to Ohio State, there’s a little bit of chaos going into conference championship weekend.

The Buckeyes destroyed No. 4 Michigan Saturday, further shaking up the College Football Rankings.

Kirk Herbstreit was on-hand to call Notre Dame’s win over USC, as the Irish squeaked by against the 5-7 Trojans. With Michigan on its way out, Herbstreit moves Georgia to No. 4 following its utter domination against Georgia Tech.

Alabama remains at No. 1, with Clemson at No. 2. Notre Dame held firm at No. 3, and Georgia moved into the No. 4 slot. Oklahoma moved up to No. 5, and Ohio State moved up to No. 6.

Remember, Ohio State was ranked No. 10 last week by the committee, and it’ll be interesting Tuesday night to see where the Buckeyes land. Ohio State will play Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship Game Saturday, and it won’t get much help from the No. 19 Wildcats.

Interestingly, if Georgia can find a way to beat Alabama, both SEC teams will most likely make the College Football Playoff again.
