Kirk Herbstreit updated his top four teams following Saturday’s results.

Herbstreit and Chris Fowler were on hand to see Notre Dame thump Virginia Tech 45-23 in Blacksburg Saturday night.

The ESPN broadcaster has Alabama ranked No. 1 following Saturday. The Tide hammered Arkansas 65-31, and there’s little doubt the Tide are the best team in the nation. Ohio State also throttled Indiana 49-26. Despite being No. 2 in the AP Poll, Georgia is Herbstreit’s No. 3 team. The Bulldogs beat Vanderbilt 41-13, and Clemson, who Herbstreit has ranked No. 4, destroyed Wake Forest 63-3.

Following the loss to Texas, Oklahoma fell out of Herbie’s top four. Interestingly, Notre Dame isn’t one of Herbstreit’s top four teams right now, but the Irish have a very favorable schedule remaining in 2018.
