Kirk Herbstreit had several SEC players to choose from as he released his weekly list of top performers with Week 11 in the books.

Unsurprisingly, Harold Perkins made the list thanks to an incredible outing against Arkansas. LSU’s true freshman linebacker, who had 3.5 sacks entering Saturday, showed why he was a 5-star recruit in high school by totaling 4 sacks on the afternoon. Perkins is making a case to be a feared pass rusher early in his brief college career, and thanks in part to his efforts, the Tigers defeated the Razorbacks and ultimately clinched the SEC West by virtue of Alabama’s win over Ole Miss.

Speaking of the Crimson Tide, defensive lineman Byron Young was the other SEC player named to Herbstreit’s list this week. With the Crimson Tide holding on for a win over Ole Miss, their 7th straight in the series, Young amassed 11 tackles and sacking Jaxson Dart twice. For his efforts, he was named the SEC’s defensive lineman of the week.
