Kirk Herbstreit’s weekly list of top performers from Week 3’s college football action featured Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders at the top.

Sanders, and Colorado, had a slow start to the game against in-state rival Colorado State, but he finished with 348 yards and 4 touchdowns, throwing just 1 interception. With just over 2 minutes remaining in regulation, he led a 98-yard touchdown drive, going 6-7 and completing a pass for a 2-point conversion to tie it at 35. He then added touchdowns in both overtimes as the Buffaloes staved off upset-minded Colorado State.

While Saturday marked Sanders’ 1st interception of the season, he now has 10 touchdowns and 1,251 yards, completing 78.7 percent of his passes (107-of-136). He’s a primary reason Colorado is 3-0 and ranked No. 19 in the country.

Can Sanders and the Buffs keep it rolling? They face their biggest challenge yet in a Week 4 Pac-12 showdown with Oregon in Eugene, with a victory giving them their first 4-0 start since 2020.
