With top-10 picks Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith gearing up for their rookie seasons, Alabama’s receiving corps has big shoes to fill this fall. ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit is already excited about one of the Crimson Tide’s freshman pass-catchers.

On “College GameDay,” Herbstreit recalled how Agiye Hall impressed him in Alabama’s spring game, sharing high praise for the early enrollee.

“We know about how Alabama lost Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith, but Nick Saban’s still the head coach,” Herbstreit said, per 247Sports. “Nick Saban’s still recruiting. Now here comes the next one — Agiye Hall. Agiye Hall — Joey Galloway and I did the spring game for Alabama — he made some catches. Joey and I kind of looked at each other like, ‘Oh, no. This kid No. 17’s going to be very, very talented.’ Now they already have Metchie coming back. Slade Bolden’s coming back. They’ve got some guys. But 17’s going to get an opportunity out on the perimeter.”

Out of Valrico, Florida, Hall was rated 4-stars and the No. 45 overall recruit in the class of 2021. As an early enrollee, he played in UA’s spring game, catching 4 passes for 72 yards.

“Agiye Hall is a really good freshman prospect,” Nick Saban said during Alabama’s spring game. “We’re trying to move him around so we can get him the ball more. He’s one of the most explosive players on this team.”
