Kirk Herbstreit reveals list of top-performing players for Week 9, including 1 SEC star
Kirk Herbstreit has named his list of top-performing players for all of college football in Week 9.
Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon headlines the list after his second straight game with 200+ yards on the ground.
Texas A&M’s Edgerrin Cooper is the only SEC star to make the cut this week. Cooper had 7 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble in Texas A&M’s win over South Carolina in Week 9.
UCLA’s entire defensive line, Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson and Marvin Harrison Jr., Georgia Tech’s Haynes King, UMass’ Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams and Minnesota’s Jordan Nubin also made the cut.

Cooper has a strong argument as the SEC’s most disruptive defensive player so far this season. He has already accounted for 15.5 tackles for loss on the season. No other SEC player has more than 10.5 tackles for loss so far in 2023.
Cooper and the Aggies defense will get another big test this weekend as they travel to Oxford to take on Ole Miss. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
