Kirk Herbstreit is out with his new top 4, and the ESPN analyst has a new College Football Playoff field after Week 8.

Herbstreit still has Michigan and Georgia as his top 2 teams. The Wolverines improved to 8-0 with a 49-0 road win over rival Michigan State. Georgia, meanwhile, was on a bye in Week 8.

Previously, Herbstreit had Washington as his No. 3 team after the Huskies’ win over Oregon. While UW did not lose in Week 8, the 15-7 win over a 1-win Arizona State team did not impress. Herbstreit has dropped Washington to No. 5.

Herbstreit moved Florida State into the No. 3 spot. The Seminoles defeated a ranked Duke team 38-20 in Week 8. FSU trailed 20-17 in the 4th quarter, but scored the final 21 points to win comfortably.

In his new rankings, Herbstreit slots Ohio State at No. 4. It wasn’t pretty, but the Buckeyes picked up a 20-12 win over a top-10 Penn State team to improve to 7-0.

Herbstreit also bumped Oklahoma from No. 5 to No. 6 in his new top 4. The Sooners are undefeated, but defeated a 3-win UCF team by just 2 points at home.

We’ll see how Herbstreit ranks the top 4 after Week 9.
