There wasn’t much Georgia could do during its bye week to jump Penn State in Kirk Herbstreit’s rankings.

The Nittany Lions took care of Michigan at home, and yes, fans broke out the “We want Bama” chants. Not too smart.

Interestingly, while the Bulldogs were on a bye week, Notre Dame throttled USC 49-14, which gives UGA one of the best road wins in college football this season.

Herbstreit’s top four teams didn’t change, with Alabama at No. 1, Penn State at No. 2, Georgia at No. 3 and TCU at at No. 4.

While the Nittany Lions are chanting about Alabama, they play Ohio State next Saturday, which is very much in the College Football Playoff discussion.

Georgia also plays rival Florida, and things have been known to get spooky in Jacksonville.
