With KJ Jefferson at quarterback and offensive coordinator Kendal Briles, most figure the unit to make some big plays and lots of noise this season.

That proved true in the first quarter of Saturday’s season opener against Rice.

Although the Hogs went 3-and-out on their first drive, Jefferson and company returned for a touchdown drive on the second. In fact, Jefferson flashed big play potential in this 34-yard touchdown scamper.
