Kyler Murray has settled on his favorite for the Heisman Trophy

Last year’s Heisman Trophy winner, Kyler Murray, has kept an eye on the college football scene enough to have an idea which players to consider for his vote this year.
“Our guy (Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts) kind of took a hit with that loss,” said Murray, a former Sooners star, of OU’s 48-41 defeat at Kansas State on Oct. 26, according to ESPN. “I think right now, if somebody had to win, it’d probably be Joe Burrow.”
Hurts, who transferred from Alabama and replaced Murray as Oklahoma’s starting quarterback, has thrown for 2,469 yards with 21 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Burrow is the face of one of the best teams in the country, and the leader of a revamped offense this season. He’s second in the nation with 2,805 passing yards and is among the leaders in most Heisman discussions with Ohio State DE Chase Young and Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa.
LSU is ranked second in the first College Football Playoff rankings, and is the Associated Press’ No. 1 team. The Tigers play in Tuscaloosa on Saturday against Alabama, which is No. 3 in the CFP rankings and second in the AP Top 25.
Burrow has completed 78.8 percent of his passes and averages 10.8 yards per completion. He has thrown 30 touchdown passes against four interceptions while being sacked 15 times.
