Louisiana Tech running back Kenneth Dixon is expected to play on Saturday against Mississippi State.

Dixon missed last week’s game against Texas-San Antonio, a 34-31 win for the Bulldogs, with a leg injury.

According to Sean Isabella of The News-Star:

Dixon has rushed for 583 yards and six touchdowns in five games this season. He is averaging 6.1 yards per carry.

The 5-foot-10, 213-pound senior running back has been named to the Doak Walker and Maxwell Award lists, and was a preseason All-Conference USA selection. In his career, he has rushed for 3,993 yards and 59 touchdowns.

Mississippi State (4-2) and Louisiana Tech (4-2) kick off at noon Eastern time on Saturday at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field in Starkville, Miss.
