Lane Kiffin at a podium with a microphone in front of him is almost a guarantee to be a fun experience for everyone involved. He is also willing to poke fun at some of his fellow SEC coaches on social media, with the most recent being Auburn coach Hugh Freeze.

Freeze has been called out in recent days by Auburn fans for spending too much time at the golf course this offseason.

Kiffin posted a picture of himself fishing the other day, which fans interpreted as a shot at Freeze. This wouldn’t be the first time that Kiffin has seemed to call out Freeze on social media.

He was asked about these ‘perceived shots’ at Freeze, but Kiffin said he actually really likes his fellow SEC coach.

“Someone said that coming in here to me … I like coach Freeze,” Kiffin said. “I think they think that was something do with I was fishing and he was golfing. It really wasn’t that. I have a thing with him going back a few years ago when he posted a picture in response to me of some 2-pound bass or something like that. I have always posted bigger fish pictures back to him.

“It had nothing to do with his golf game, which sounds like he is doing amazing at that. That’s great for him.”

Lane Kiffin is one of the more entertaining coaches in college football, and this is just another example of that. Unfortunately for college football fans, these 2 coaches won’t be on the field together this year, as Ole Miss and Auburn don’t meet during the regular season.

While Kiffin spot at SEC Media Days on Monday, Freeze will be in front of the media on Tuesday, where it seems likely he will be asked about his back-and-forth with Kiffin as well.
