Lane Kiffin had plenty to say about the offensive struggles for Ole Miss, even after the Rebels’ 28-10 win over Troy.
“Great performance by the defense,” Kiffin said, per On3 Sports. “The guys really came out, held us together. Three offensive turnovers in the second half and really, about as ugly as you can play in the second half offensively. It’s great our defense showed up today.”
About the quarterbacks, Kiffin said the plan was for Jaxson Dart to start this week and then Luke Altmyer to start next week, but wants them both to play in each game.
Lane Kiffin speaking on the crowd size today:
“They probably got bored in the second half. I would too with our offense.”

Kiffin was blunt in his overall assessment.
“Offense in the second half was miserable … the goal is to get to 1-0 but we have a high standard and need to improve a lot,” Kiffin said.
Kiffin noted that all 3 running backs played well, including running back Quinshon Judkins, who Kiffin said “ran angry.
“When we get up 28-3 and things were going well, we wanted to establish the passing game,” Kiffin said.
