Lane Kiffin isn’t afraid to let his hair down during press conferences and media availability, unlike many of his peers in the SEC.

For example, it’s hard to imagine asking Nick Saban about his favorite song off Taylor Swift’s new “Midnights” album. Kiffin, though, didn’t wait long to dive into the album after its release, judging from a tweet just after midnight ET on Friday (or just after 11 p.m. CT).

The Ole Miss head coach, though, was tight-lipped when asked which song stuck out to him the most during his Monday press conference.

“I kind of feel like I shouldn’t go into which favorite song,” he said. “That will start all the social media with why I picked that because there is kind of a reason behind it. I’ll give it to you after a win, not a loss. Because then you guys will write good things about it when I say it.”

Let’s hope that the Rebels can take care of business against Texas A&M, in that case.

By the way, Swift isn’t the only female artist Kiffin enjoys: he famously (and unsuccessfully) lobbied for Katy Perry to stop by Oxford during Ole Miss’ appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay in Nov. 2021. Maybe Taylor Swift will be on tap if GameDay makes its way back to the Sip in 2022?
