Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels came into Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday afternoon with a lot of energy.

A lot of the wind is now out of the Rebels’ sails, though, as Alabama has dominated en route to a 28-0 halftime lead over the Rebels.

At halftime, Kiffin was interviewed by CBS sideline reporter Jamie Erdahl. He said you can’t punt when playing the No. 1 team, adding that when you live by analytics (regarding going for it on fourth down), you can die by them, too:

“Well, we gotta do a better job,” he said. “We’ve gotta convert fourth downs. When you play the No. 1 team in the country, you can’t be punting. You see how quickly they score touchdowns. You live by analytics, you die by ’em.”

Ole Miss can score points in a hurry. Can the Rebels claw their way back into the game in the second half? We’ll find out soon enough!
