Those who watched Jon Gruden’s QB Class with Jaxson Dart ahead of the NFL Draft, you may have seen Gruden’s disgust with Dart’s snap count, which is just a clap. Lane Kiffin‘s son, Knox Kiffin, decided to have some fun with Gruden at the Manning Passing Academy when it came to snap counts.

During the Manning Passing Academy, Gruden had the players run some of his plays. Many of the quarterbacks stepped up and clapped, which made Gruden lose it. He wanted every quarterback to step up and give a snap count, not a clap.

“People would clap, and he would just scream at them,” Knox said about Gruden.

When it came time for Knox to run the play, he decided to mess around with Gruden and “troll” him. Knox detailed the whole thing on Mudcat Media with Ben Garrett.

“I clapped on purpose so he’d get mad…” Konx said. “But I wanted to troll him a little bit since Dart was doing that on the Barstool (show) with him.”

Knox said that his high school uses the clap, so in the beginning, he was clapping a little, but later he said that he would clap only to mess with Gruden and then would run the correct play-call.

It’s safe to say Gruden is not a fan of the clap-snap count.
