Latest Bleacher Report 2019 MLB Mock Draft includes 3 SEC players, 1 SEC football commit

The 2019 MLB Draft starts on Monday in Secaucus, New Jersey, and plenty of SEC players should hear their names called over the course of the event.
However, three current SEC players and one LSU football/baseball commit could go in the first round, according to Bleacher Report’s Joe Tansey.
In Tansey’s latest mock draft, he has Vanderbilt OF JJ Bleday going in the top 10, and three other SEC athletes going later in the round, as you can see below:
- No. 6 — JJ Bleday, OF, Vanderbilt — San Diego Padres
- No. 15 — Zack Thompson, LHP, Kentucky — Los Angeles Angels
- No. 26 — Maurice Hampton, OF, LSU football commit — Arizona Diamondbacks
- No. 32 — Kameron Misner, OF, Mizzou — Houston Astros
Hampton is a 4-star cornerback in the 2019 class, and is also committed to the LSU baseball team. We only have to wait one more day to see if he goes in Round 1 or not. If he does, he’ll have a tough decision to make.
