Lee Corso is back with the “College GameDay” crew as ESPN continues preparations for Saturday’s show at Tennessee.
ESPN PR put out a statement on Friday that said: It’s great to have Coach Lee Corso back with the (College GameDay) crew this weekend in Knoxville. From Friday morning’s production meeting, gearing up for show prep with coordinating producer (Drew Gallagher).
Corso has missed the previous 2 weeks of shows, including last week as Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and Pat McAfee, among others, were in Lawrence, Kansas. Two weeks ago, the former coach was a late scratch last week because he wasn’t feeling well. That week to open the show at Clemson, the crew paid tribute to Corso.

Corso, 87, is a fan favorite largely because of his headgear picks at the end of the show, which typically gets the crowd into it ahead of the biggest game of the week. But he’s also been a great ambassador for the sport for many years.
