When D.J. Chark arrives in Jacksonville, there will be at least one familiar face eagerly awaiting him.

In case you missed it, the Jaguars selected the former LSU receiver in the second round Friday night with the 61st overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. That makes two years in a row that Jacksonville has drafted a Tiger within the first two rounds of a draft, following Leonard Fournette’s first-round selection in the 2017 draft.

Immediately after the pick was announced, Fournette welcomed his old/new teammate to town.

Chark improved his stock with an outstanding senior season in Baton Rouge which was capped by earning co-MVP honors at the 2018 Senior Bowl. Chark was also named as a team captian in 2017 and named Second Team All-SEC by both the league’s coaches and media.
