LSU hiring Ed Orgeron has to be somewhat surreal for former head coach Les Miles.
Miles was fired in September after starting the season 2-2, and Orgeron took over as the Interim Head Coach. Miles hired Orgeron as his defensive line coach in 2015.
On Saturday, however, LSU made Orgeron the Tigers’ permanent head coach after finishing the season 5-2, with losses to Alabama and Florida.
Here’s what Miles said about LSU promoting Orgeron as its head coach, according to The Advocate.
