“I was able to speak with Lew last night when we arrived back here in the Twin Cities, spoke with him for about 20 minutes,” Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said, per the team website.
Cine remained in London long enough to stabilize the situation and have everything ready for doctors in the United States to continue his recovery for the following months. This injury will end his rookie season and O’Connell mentioned the plan moving forward.
“[Executive Director of Player Health & Performance] Tyler [Williams], [Head Athletic Trainer] Uriah [Myrie] and our staff have a great plan for him,” O’Connell continued.
Cine is a former Georgia safety who was part of the Bulldogs’ historically great 2021 defense and National championship season. He was drafted in the 1st round as the 32nd pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
