Throughout its illustrious football history, the SEC has boasted 77 first-team All-American defensive backs.
The Alabama Crimson Tide leads the conference with 16 of its own, claiming an All-American as recently as this past season (Landon Collins). No other school can claim more than 9 first-teamers, and only one school failed to claim a single All-American defensive back (Kentucky).
Take a look below at the full list of SEC All-American defensive backs through the years. Keep in mind that players from Missouri and Texas A&M who earned All-America honors before 2012 did not earn those honors while playing in the SEC.
Also keep in mind this list only contains players regarded as first-team All-Americans by the following outlets:
- Associated Press
- American Football Coaches Association
- Football Writers Association of America
- Sports Illustrated
- The Sporting News
- Time Magazine
- Walter Camp Football Foundation
