LISTEN: Jimbo Fisher directly asked if he would be at FSU next season

The situation between Florida State and Jimbo Fisher continues to be interesting as reports swirl surrounding the possibility of Fisher leaving to take the Texas A&M job.
Fisher has been at Florida State since 2007 and has served as the head coach since 2010 but the Seminoles are finishing off a disappointing season. Florida State will not be competing in the ACC Championship this weekend, but the team is playing a rescheduled game against Louisiana-Monroe in an attempt to become bowl eligible at 6-6.
The late end to the season has put the team in an interesting position as fans wait to see what Fisher’s decision will be on the A&M job. One fan even asked Fisher about his loyalty to the program during a radio call-in show Wednesday evening. The fan can be seen being pushed out of the room without an answer from Fisher, but Fisher was again asked about his job status on Thursday.
ESPNU Radio shared audio of Fisher being asked whether or not he would be at FSU next year. He plainly stated that he doesn’t talk about jobs. Fisher did go on to say he would’ve answered the fan’s question from Wednesday and regrets how that situation was handled.
Here is the audio of Fisher’s comments:
We asked Jimbo Fisher if he’d be the coach at @FSUFootball next season. His response? “You know my answer. I’m not going to talk about jobs.”
