The lead-up to Saturday’s Alabama-Vanderbilt game was marked by strong words from Vanderbilt players and coach Derek Mason and chants from Vanderbilt fans.

Vanderbilt defensive lineman Nifae Lealao began the talk following the Kansas State win when he said “Alabama, you’re next.” It was that same game that Vanderbilt fans chanted, “We want Bama.”

A few days later, in a radio interview, Mason said, “I truly believe our guys are going to get to work today, hammer out the plan over the next couple of days, and we’ll have something for Alabama.”

On Sunday evening, Alabama running back Bo Scarborough responded to the Vanderbilt talk with a tweet after the Crimson Tide won 59-0. Scarborough rushed 11 times for 79 yards and two touchdowns.
