UCF’s “National Championship” campaign continues to have legs throughout the college sports world.

House Bill 1359 was filed in the Florida legislature that would create a special license plate to honor UCF’s “National Championship.”

The Knights beat Auburn 34-27 in this year’s Peach Bowl, and the university’s brand has been everywhere since finishing undefeated. The Orlando Sentinel gave UCF a special “National Champions” section; UCF also had a special championship parade where fans chanted “We Want Bama.” Florida governor Rick Scott even declared the Knights national champions.

Now, if this House Bill passes, UCF fans can commemorate its undefeated season with a special license plate.

Of course, the Alabama Crimson Tide beat the Georgia Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff National Championship, and Knights fans put up a billboard in Tuscaloosa begging for a home and home.
