LOOK: Tennessee has removed Butch Jones photo from Neyland Stadium jumbotron
One of the most embarrassing ends of an era has officially been capped in Knoxville — the picture Butch Jones no longer resides on the Neyland Stadium jumbotron.
In what could be described as a bigger win by some Tennessee fans than the program’s recent SEC regular-season basketball championship, Vol Nation can now move on from last season’s disastrous campaign and fully embrace the Jeremy Pruitt era. Not managing to get down Jones’ photo in time for spring practice would have been humiliating for the program, especially if Butch ends up at Alabama as a low-level assistant.
The next photo to go up on the Neyland Stadium jumbotron is expected to be a photo of legendary Tennessee linebacker Al Wilson. Considering his ties to the Phillip Fulmer era, that’s got to be a popular choice among all Vol fans.
