LSU has landed a big bat for its 2025 lineup. Experienced slugger Dalton Beck is heading to Baton Rouge for his senior season.

Beck heads to LSU from Incarnate Word. He’s coming off a junior season in which he recorded 18 home runs and 67 RBIs.

Beck is no stranger to transferring. He began his career at the JUCO level, playing for Grayson College in Denison, Texas in 2021.

Beck made 12 appearances on the mound, including 1 start in 2021. He had a 7-4 record to go along with a 4.33 ERA over 54 IP, allowing 26 earned runs while striking out 75 opposing batters.

A two-way player, Beck put up impressive numbers at the plate as a freshman. At Grayson, he slashed .380 AVG/.483 OBP/.790 SLG with 10 doubles, 9 home runs and 2 triples, collecting 34 RBIs and walking 19 times with 11 stolen bases.

Beck spent his sophomore season at Kansas State. He made 3 starts on the mound, allowing 9 earned runs over 5.2 innings for an ERA of 14.29. Beck did not record any at-bats in his season at KSU.

Beck was back at the bat for Incarnate Word this past season. He slashed .348/.400/.707, leading the Southland Conference in slugging percentage, hits (89), RBIs (67), and home runs (18).

In 2024, Beck also pitched but only 3 appearances. He tossed 8.1 innings, allowing 8 earned runs on 7 hits and 9 walks, striking out 7. Beck did not pitch after March 12, in which he was the losing pitcher against Texas (3.1 IP, 2 H, 5 ER, 4 BB, 2 K).

Incarnate Word’s roster lists the 6-2, 195-pound Beck as an outfielder and left-handed pitcher. He recorded fielding statistics in 22 of 39 games.
