LSU beats out SEC, B1G competition to land 4-star DL, top-100 prospect

Deuce Geralds is heading back to the bayou.
The blue-chip defensive lineman plays in Georgia but has Louisiana roots. On Saturday, he announced his commitment to play for Brian Kelly‘s LSU program.
Out of Suwanee (Georgia) Collins Hill High School, Geralds is listed as measuring 6-2, 275 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Geralds is rated 4-stars, the No. 11 player in the Peach State, No. 12 defensive lineman and No. 95 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.

Geralds picked up a whopping 55 scholarship offers during his recruitment. For Saturday’s big decision, Geralds narrowed things down to LSU, Oregon, Ole Miss, Ohio State and Michigan.
The chance to come back to Louisiana was something Geralds could not turn down.
It’s my hometown. I have family there,” Geralds told Steve Wiltfong of Rivals. “I just want to come back home and turn up Baton Rouge and the 225 and I want to be part of that. I’ve been wanting to be part of that since I was a little kid. To be part of it now is a blessing and dream come true.
With Geralds on board, LSU now has 18 verbal commitments in its 2026 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 9 on the Composite. Fans can get a preview of what Geralds brings to the squad next year by watching his highlights below:
