LSU in lead among multiple SEC programs for 2027 4-star OT, per report
LSU and Lane Kiffin are the leaders for 2027 4-star offensive tackle Jimmy Kalis, as Kiffin continues to try to rebuild the Tigers’ offensive line depth after taking over this season.
The LSU-Kalis potential marriage for the 2027 season was reported on Thursday afternoon by On3’s Hayes Fawcett, but the Tigers are hardly the only SEC program who’s after Kalis’ services. According to the On3 report, Georgia and Texas are also among the final 6 programs that the Pittsburgh product is considering.
Fawcett also reported that Ohio State, Clemson and Miami are in the mix for the mammoth 6-foot-8, 280-pounder. The On3 report stated that Kalis “has narrowed his focus to six schools, with Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers setting the pace in his recruitment.”
There are “multiple programs eyeing official visits this offseason,” according to the On3 report.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, the Central Catholic product is the 247th-ranked prospect in the Class of 2027. The Composite rankings also rate Kalis as the No. 24 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 10 player from the state of Pennsylvania.
The race for Kalis is just beginning, but the 2027 phenom reportedly has a great chance to land in the SEC, with LSU currently leading the way but a whole bunch of time for things to change.
