LSU lands second commitment from state of Mississippi in LB Zach Edwards

LSU and Ed Orgeron attacked the state of Mississippi Saturday.
Following LSU’s Junior Day, the Tigers picked up commitments from two talented Mississippi players. Earlier Saturday, 4-star pass rusher Jaren Handy committed to the Tigers. Later Saturday night, 3-star LB Zach Edwards pulled the trigger, too.
Edwards, from Starkville, is ranked as the nation’s No. 12 ILB and the state’s No. 14 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. The 6-foot-2, 217-pound defender became the Tigers’ eighth commitment in the class of 2019.
Edwards boasted offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Texas A&M, among others, and he projects well at the next level.
