ESPN’s Pete Thamel reports that Tigers linebacker Omar Speights will not be able to go for Saturday’s rivalry clash with Arkansas. Speights is dealing with a hip flexor.

Speights joined LSU in the spring after 4 seasons at Oregon State. He was a Freshman All-American in 2019 and earned first-team All-Pac-12 recognition last season.
This season, Speights has played in 2 games. He has recorded 9 total tackles, including 8 in the season opener against FSU.
In Speights’ absence, Whit Weeks stepped up for the Tigers against Mississippi State. Weeks recorded a team-high 8 tackles in LSU’s dominant 41-14 win in Starkville.
Weeks and the No. 12 Tigers will tangle with KJ Jefferson and the Razorbacks Saturday night in Death Valley. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET, with the game airing on ESPN.
