LSU entered Saturday’s game against Tennessee already missing starting left tackle Will Campbell as he was hospitalized on Friday night due to dehydration.
It will now have to play the second half without another starter up front. Garrett Dellinger, the Tigers’ center, departed and will not return.
Dellinger exited after suffering an apparent knee injury and needed assistance from a pair of trainers to come off the field. He then went to the locker room, but according to the LSU radio broadcast, he has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
The sophomore was out against Auburn a week ago after breaking his hand but was healthy enough to play against the Volunteers on Saturday. The Tigers will hope that this latest setback isn’t severe.
LSU trails Tennessee 23-7 at halftime.
Garrett Dellinger walked to the #LSU locker room with a slight limp after spending about 10 minutes in the injury tent.
