The ever-expanding list of assistant coaches at LSU appears to be growing yet again.
The latest name attached to Ed Orgeron’s program is Kevin Coyle. Bruce Feldman of Sports Illustrated is reporting the NFL veteran is headed to Baton Rouge for the 2018 season. Coyle is expected to serve as a defensive analyst.
Coyle most recently worked in Cincinnati as the Bengals defensive backs coach. He held the position for two years in his latest stint with the team but also coached defensive backs from 2001 to 2011 with the club. From 2012 – 2015 Coyle served as defensive coordinator with the Miami Dolphins.
The Tigers retained defensive coordinator Dave Aranda and cornerbacks coach Corey Raymond but will have a new safeties coach for the 2018 season in Bill Busch. LSU began spring practice last weekend.
