LSU softball OF Ciara Briggs tumbles through fence to rob home run

LSU softball is playing at the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational this weekend. On Sunday, the Tigers picked up a narrow 2-0 win over Texas Tech.
That win didn’t come without some drama, though. In the top of the 7th inning, with 1 out, a Texas Tech hitter sent a long drive to center field.
Fortunately for LSU, Ciara Briggs wasn’t going to let anything stop her from making the catch, not even the fence:

The Tigers held on for the 2-0 win, finishing the weekend with a 2-3 record at the tournament. The Tigers are now 6-5 overall on the young season.
It seems safe to assume we’ll see that play again on SportsCenter tomorrow!
