LSU and Vanderbilt are expected to play a very close game on Saturday in Nashville.
Vanderbilt had the week off after suffering its first loss of the season last week against Alabama. The Commodores are 5-1 on the season, and still a contender to make the College Football Playoff.
LSU is coming off a 20-10 victory against South Carolina. While getting the win was a positive sign, it was once again another subpar performance from an offense that was supposed to be one of the best in college football this year.
The matchup on paper looks to be very even, and that is how Circa Sports sees it as well as the game opened as a pick ’em with an over/under of 47.5:

Heading into the season, Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeier was looked at as one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy. However, he just hasn’t been able to put anything together consistently. In the win against the Gamecocks on Saturday night, he threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw two interceptions.
Kickoff between the two teams is scheduled for Oct. 18 at 12 p.m. ET, with the game airing on ABC.
