Big news for LSU fans Tuesday as ESPN has announced the Tigers’ 2018 season opener against the Miami Hurricanes has been moved from Saturday to Sunday night. The game is set to take play Sept. 2, 2018, in Arlington, Texas at 7:30 pm ET / 6:30 pm CT on ABC.

The two schools have not met since 1988 and have only met three times since 1969. The game will be held at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

According to LSU, the 2018 opener will be only the second regular-season Sunday game in the 110-year of LSU football. The only other game was the 2002 season opener at Virginia Tech.
