LSU’s O-line hilariously ‘ran the bill up’ on Garrett Nussmeier at team dinner

LSU will face off in one of the biggest non-conference games of the season when the team hits the road to take on Clemson in a Week 1 battle of teams with national championship aspirations.
One of the biggest reasons that LSU has such high expectations is because of quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, who enters the season as one of the biggest favorites to win the Heisman Trophy.
The quarterback has been busy this off-season building the chemistry with his team, and the offensive line was recently on the receiving end of a team dinner paid for by the quarterback.
“We ran the bill up,” LSU offensive lineman Tyree Adams told reporters, saying the check got up to $800. “And, it was amazing.”
Quarterbacks buying their offensive lineman gifts and dinners isn’t a new thing in football, but it is in college football. The NIL era has made this possible for many players across the country, especially proven quarterbacks such as Nussmeier.
He delivered for his offensive lineman with the over $800 meal, and there could be many more meals in store for that unit if the line can withstand the dominant defensive line that Clemson will bring in Week 1.
