Luther Burden explains why he committed to Missouri and coach Eli Drinkwitz
Missouri just landed a huge recruit from the 2022 class. Luther Burden chose Missouri over SEC powerhouses Alabama and Georgia during a ceremony at his local Boys & Girls Club.
Burden is a 5-star wide receiver from East Saint Louis High School, per the 247Sports composite rankings. He stated shortly after his commitment that he plans to enroll at the school in January.
Burden says he will enroll at #Mizzou in January. Cites relationship with Eli Drinkwitz as the main reason he committed. “I believe in him…we’re gonna rebuild this thing.”

Burden said that he knew Missouri felt right after visiting for the North Texas game.

This is Missouri’s second commitment from state of Illinois. On Sept. 6th, 3-star offensive tackle Valen Erickson chose Missouri over Nebraska and Cincinnati, per the 247Sports composite rankings. Erickson is from Chicago, Illinois.
