An elite 5-star 2022 wide receiver, Luther Burden, had 3 SEC schools vying for his commitment on Tuesday night.

His final 3 was made up of Alabama, Georgia and Mizzou. And, on Tuesday night, the elite receiver from East St. Louis announced his commitment.

During a ceremony at the Boys & Girls Club where he played youth football, Burden announced he was committing to Mizzou. That’s obviously a huge get for coach Eli Drinkwitz and his staff.

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Burden is the No. 6 player in the 2022 class, the No. 2 wide receiver and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Illinois.

The Tigers now have 15 commitments in their 2022 class. Prior to Burden’s commitment, the class ranked No. 18 in the nation and No. 6 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
