Madden 23 will hit shelves this summer. It will be the first edition of the popular video game franchise to be released since its namesake, the legendary John Madden, passed away.
So, to honor the Hall of Fame coach and broadcaster, the game will feature a picture of him on the cover for the first time since 2000.
Below, you can see how the cover will look, paying homage to the late, great John Madden:

In recent years, the Madden cover has featured Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes (2022), Lamar Jackson (2021), Mahomes (2020), Antonio Brown (2019), Brady (2018) and Rob Gronkowski (2017). Eddie George was the first athlete to be featured on the cover back in 2001.
