Malachi Moore issued a heartfelt apology on Monday. And one day later, he spoke again about his personal meltdown in Saturday’s stunning loss at Vanderbilt.
Alabama’s senior defensive back and team captain wasn’t proud of himself for what occurred in Nashville during the final moments of the Crimson Tide’s loss, and he has vowed to be better. The apology was fine, but Moore felt the need to speak again on Tuesday about everything surrounding the past few chaotic and difficult days.
So, after practice, when reporters predictably asked Moore about the meltdown, he didn’t shy away from shedding more light on the subject.
“I just want to apologize again to my family and teammates,” Moore said. “The way I acted out of frustration… We put in so much work throughout the summertime. I look at my teammates. … For us to go out there and not play up to our standard frustrated me, but I take full accountability for that. Letting my actions get the best of me. It won’t happen again.”
Moore said he spoke to the team about his behavior on Saturday.

“Definitely wish I went about it in a different way,” Moore said. “But can’t fix what I did in the past. Can only fix what’s to come in the future.”
