Down a Dawg: Georgia loses commitment from DB Rachad Wildgoose Jr.

The goose is now loose in Athens.

Georgia suffered a decommitment Sunday evening from long-time pledge and 2018 defensive back Rachad Wildgoose Jr. The Miami native had been committed to the program since June. The South Florida native still holds scholarship offers from SEC programs Auburn, Florida, Kentucky and Ole Miss.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Wildgoose ranks as the nation’s No. 63 overall safety prospect and the No. 122 overall prospect from the Sunshine State. With Georgia closing in on five-star South Florida native Tyson Campbell, you have to wonder if the program doesn’t have room for both defensive backs in the 2018 recruiting class.
