Dareus was also suspended for the first game of the 2015 season due to the same violation that stemmed from a 2014 traffic stop. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance that held him out of last year’s opener.
The former Alabama defensive lineman was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He racked up 71 tackles and 11 sacks during his dominant career with the Crimson Tide.
