Marcel Reed is having a bad dream early against South Carolina.

At least, that has to be what Texas A&M’s usually reliable quarterback is telling himself at the halftime break. South Carolina leads No. 3 Texas A&M 30-3 at Kyle Field thanks in part to 2 interceptions thrown by Reed, including 1 in the end zone. On top of that, Reed completed just 6 of his 19 passing attempts and was brought down for 2 sacks.

To summarize, it was just a brutal 30 minutes of football for a guy who was considered by many to be a legitimate contender for the Heisman Trophy.

Unsurprisingly, Reed’s Heisman odds on some of the best sports betting apps have taken a nosedive. Reed entered Week 12’s matchup at +700 odds (FanDuel) but now sits at +2500 and falling, surpassed by Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia. By the time you read this, his odds may be even worse.

Fans on social media have officially declared Reed’s Heisman hopes dead. Here’s a look at some of the best reaction we found to Reed’s brutal first half.
