Mark Stoops hired Scott Woodward as an offensive quality control assistant prior to the 2021 season.
However, that quickly changed, as Stoops moved Woodward into the on-field WR coach position while then-WR coach Jovon Bouknight was moved to the support staff after a tumultuous offseason.
Now, as the Wildcats prepare for the 2022 season, Stoops confirmed that Woodward is sticking around as Kentucky’s WR coach this fall:
Mark Stoops confirms Scott Woodward will be UK's WR coach. "I'm glad to keep Woody around. He's very knowledgeable of the system."

Woodward was former Kentucky OC Liam Coen’s backup QB during their college careers at UMass. Woodward was a quality control staffer for the Pitt Panthers for 2 years before heading to Lexington prior to the 2021 campaign.
Coen is back at the NFL level, joining the Los Angeles Rams as the team’s offensive coordinator recently. But, Woodward is staying in Lexington, where he’ll try to continue Kentucky’s upward trend at the receiver position.
